Well I spoke too soon.
When I went to the front desk this morning to
check on whether or not housekeeping came in every day, I was told every
other day and on the off days I had to call each day.
Today being an off day all they would do is
replace towels. When I returned from visiting friends Dave & Judy
Nathan, there was a pile of towels on the counter top.. not hung up or
placed in the nooks where they go.
Bed was left unmade. Fortunately I’m a neat
sleeper.
Dave before his retirement was also a dentist and was
part of an emergency coverage group that I formed.
We all practiced near each other and regularly
met for lunch. There were 6 of us in the group, now sadly only 3 of us
remain.
Dinner was with cousins Melanie and Ian (sister & brother).
We went to a deli in Boynton Beach… 3 G’s and
once again I tried their pastrami.
Bread was good but still not as good as Brent’s
back in California (it seems like that was ages ago). The pastrami
itself was good but it placed 3rd
out of the 4 delis.
All of them couldn’t compete with my deli of
choice back home… the Lido Kosher Deli in Long Beach, NY. Put Lido
pastrami on Brent’s bread and I am in cholesterol heaven.
